Dry Needling / Acupuncture

Both are available within our practice.

Both are different and can be confusing.

  • Acupuncture is the insertion of a fine needle to a specific acupuncture points within the body to treat specific conditions. With Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) it is used to ensure inner body balance via the bodies energy source, Qi
  • Dry needling is the insertion of a fine needle to an area of muscle, trigger point. A trigger point is an area of knots or hypersensitivity which creates pain.  Dry needling is a quick way to reduce the trigger points and assist a muscle to return to normal pain free function.
